A History of the Kimono

The primary consumers of sumptuous kimono were the samurai, the ruling military class.

Yet it was the merchant and artisan classes, or chōnin. these classes benefited most from the peace and prosperity of the period.

it is developed into a highly expressive means of personal display.

it was an important indicator of the rising affluence and aesthetic sensibility of the chōnin.

Since the end of the Second World War western-style clothing has been the everyday wear of most Japanese.

The 21st century, however, has witnessed something of a kimono renaissance. Elegant kimono in beautiful modern fabrics.


The season’s Fall 2016 trends come into play when curating a seasonal abaya collection. it can be classified as a kimono in the case of the open abaya. it is more than a fashion statement to women around the world.

The resurgence of interest in kimono is particularly apparent in the summer season due to the high humidity. during this season people prefer to wear wide and comfortable clothes.

you can find different fabrics, textures, colors, and styles. All the styles available at the market are related to the occasion you are wearing for.

it is considered now as an item of fashion, just as it was in  Edo heyday in japan.

You can wear it with a sport shoes and jeans for a casual look. also , you can wear it with a formal pants and heels for a classy look for occasions.
